About Us

Corbridge Gardening Society aims to promote, encourage and further all aspects of amateur gardening. A social and friendly society with over 150 members. We have a wide range of interests: growing vegetables and flowers, entering shows, visiting gardens and learning more about horticulture and garden history, guest speakers.

Some members are old hands, and some are just starting out. The society aims to help everyone get more involved in the running of it.

Society Membership is open to all residents of Corbridge and the surrounding area, costs £10 per year and runs for 12 months from 1st January each year.

  • We have Spring Show each year where members exhibit their floral displays.
  • A Plant Sale every year in May (Saturday, May 23rd, 10:00 am) @ Parish Hall
  • Group day trips for members to special gardens, sometimes by coach.
  • Garden tours to an area in the UK.
  • A series of winter evening talks in the Parish Hall on a variety of gardening topics. (times vary)
  • We have regular social visits to gardens hosted by fellow society members, these invitations are sent via email as and when they are offered
